Marketing Assistant

Movement Mortgage · Indian Land, SC · 1 wk ago
Marketing$66k–$94k/yrFull-time

Join the company defining what it means to be an Impact Lender. Mortgages are what we do, but that doesn't define who we are. In 2008, Movement disrupted the industry with the innovative 6-7-1 mortgage process. In 2023, we pioneered again, helping launch Impact Lending – a new category of lending. Any mortgage lender that commits at least 10% of its profits to helping the neighborhoods it serves is an Impact Lender. At Movement, we are Impact Lenders, giving 40%-50% of our profits to making an impact in our communities. For us, purpose and people have always come before profit.

About the Role

Are you the kind of marketer who loves building relationships as much as building campaigns? Can you switch from creating social media content to helping a loan officer think through their database strategy, referral marketing plan, or next growth opportunity? As a Marketing Assistant, you'll serve as a dedicated marketing partner to a portfolio of loan officers. Working from our National Sales Support Center, you'll help clients strengthen their personal brand, execute marketing campaigns, leverage Movement's mortgage-specific marketing tools, and grow their business. Unlike centralized marketing support roles, Marketing Assistants build ongoing relationships with an assigned portfolio of clients, providing strategic guidance, campaign execution, performance reporting, and day-to-day marketing support. Success in this role requires strong marketing expertise, mortgage industry knowledge, and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to sales professionals. If helping others grow their business is what motivates you, you'll fit right in.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary marketing resource for an assigned portfolio of loan officers
  • Build strong relationships through proactive communication, consultation, and ongoing support
  • Understand each client's business goals, referral strategies, database opportunities, brand presence, and marketing priorities
  • Create and customize marketing materials including social media content, graphics, email assets, flyers, presentation materials, and promotional pieces
  • Execute marketing campaigns, newsletters, event promotions, and local marketing initiatives
  • Help loan officers leverage Movement's mortgage-specific tools, platforms, databases, and marketing resources to drive business growth
  • Assist with content calendars, email strategies, social media coaching plans, and marketing recommendations
  • Monitor campaign performance and share actionable insights with clients
  • Generate monthly reporting that summarizes marketing activity, engagement metrics, and program utilization
  • Support onboarding, database organization, platform setup, and marketing resource management
  • Manage multiple client requests while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work
  • Accurately track time, project activity, and client service allocations
  • Use AI tools and automation to improve efficiency, reporting, and content creation
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and the overall client experience

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of marketing, field marketing, account management, or related experience
  • Experience supporting loan officers, mortgage professionals, Realtors®, builders, or other sales-driven professionals
  • Strong understanding of mortgage marketing, database marketing, referral-based business development, and local market growth strategies
  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor
  • Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns across social, email, events, digital, and print channels
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple client relationships and competing priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within mortgage-specific marketing ecosystems and loan officer growth strategies
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM, marketing automation platforms, and customer journey tools
  • Experience leveraging mortgage marketing tools, customer databases, email journeys, and lead nurturing programs
  • Advanced Canva skills or experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience consulting with clients on branding, lead generation, and business development initiatives
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve client service, reporting, content creation, and workflow efficiency

Who You Are

  • An experienced marketer who enjoys serving as a strategic partner rather than simply fulfilling requests
  • Comfortable consulting with loan officers on business development, database growth, referral marketing, personal branding, and customer engagement strategies
  • Naturally relationship-driven and committed to helping clients achieve business goals
  • Able to proactively identify opportunities and make recommendations that drive results
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple clients and priorities simultaneously
  • Confident leading client conversations, setting expectations, and building trust
  • Curious about technology and excited to incorporate AI into your workflow
  • Possess a strong understanding of the mortgage industry and the unique marketing challenges loan officers face
