About the Role
As the Marketing and Proposal Manager, you will lead a team to develop and execute marketing strategies, create compelling proposals, and maintain project information in the CRM system. In collaboration with the Communications and Strategic Projects Manager, you will ensure brand messaging remains consistent and impactful across all platforms. This role partners with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to manage marketing campaigns, conferences, and associations. This position may be based out of WestLand’s Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, or Tucson office locations.
Responsibilities
- Marketing Initiatives:
- Oversee content creation for the company website, social media, and marketing collateral to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Ensure content accurately reflects recent projects, company achievements, and industry expertise.
- Develop and implement client development strategies and targeted marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives.
- Track, analyze, and report on marketing campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials and presentations to support various levels of the organization, ensuring consistency and high quality.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices, integrating innovative approaches.
- Proposal and Business Development:
- Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, from opportunity identification to final submission.
- Drive proposal strategy, including content development, messaging, and competitive positioning, collaborating with subject matter experts.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility, credibility, and client trust.
- Manage CRM strategy and reporting; ensure data quality, usage adoption, and actionable insights to guide business development decision-making.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with the Communications and Strategic Projects Manager to develop key communications and content to support corporate and cross-business marketing.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with internal teams, industry partners, and clients to foster collaboration and drive business growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of marketing and proposal development experience, ideally within the A/E/C industry.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a team of marketing and proposal professionals.
- Proven expertise in strategic proposal development, with the ability to quickly understand complex service offerings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with proposal management software (Deltek VantagePoint is a plus).
Pay
For candidates in the Arizona or Oregon markets, the salary range for this position is $120,000 – $150,000 annually.
