Position Summary

Helix Electric is seeking a Creative Marketing Specialist to support the Marketing and Communications Manager with the development, editing, scheduling, and publishing of creative content across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and prepare short-form and long-form content for social media, recruiting, internal communications, and brand campaigns.
  • Aid in posting and scheduling content across social platforms using Sprout Social or similar content calendar tools.
  • Support the creation, organization, and maintenance of monthly and weekly content calendars.
  • Turn raw footage, photos, and creative direction into polished social-ready assets for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
  • Design graphics and marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop, as well as Canva when speed and flexibility are needed.
  • Edit video content using tools such as CapCut and other editing software to create reels, recap videos, employee spotlights, recruiting content, and event content.
  • Write or assist with captions, post copy, light PR messaging, and other supporting written content that aligns with Helix Electric’s voice and brand.
  • Aid in Facebook group page management, including posting, monitoring activity, organizing content, and helping maintain a strong brand presence.
  • Support email marketing efforts by building, formatting, scheduling, and proofreading email campaigns, newsletters, and announcements.
  • Coordinate PR-related needs, including media-ready content, company announcements, employee highlights, event recaps, and story development.
  • Travel to other Helix Electric offices, jobsites, or events as needed to support content capture, marketing initiatives, and brand consistency across regions.
  • Organize and maintain digital asset libraries, including photos, video clips, graphics, templates, and campaign files.
  • Help keep content moving from concept to completion by managing deadlines, file organization, approvals, and publishing schedules.

Additional Ways to Support the Department

  • Assist with website content updates, project uploads, and routine content refreshes.
  • Help prepare marketing collateral such as flyers, simple presentations, recruiting materials, event signage, and internal handouts.
  • Assist with employer branding initiatives by helping package recruiting content, testimonials, office culture highlights, and team spotlights.
  • Help coordinate event marketing before and after company events by creating promotional graphics, recap posts, email reminders, and follow-up content.
  • Monitor social performance and provide basic reporting on content engagement, reach, and audience response.
  • Cook up with internal teams, branch offices, and external vendors to gather content, approvals, and needed marketing information.
  • Help maintain consistency across branded materials, ensuring content is polished, current, and aligned with company standards.
  • Aid in light administrative marketing support, including file organization, content tracking, and project follow-through.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in marketing, creative content, communications, social media, PR, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Experience using Canva and CapCut for fast-turn creative production.
  • Experience managing social media calendars and scheduling platforms such as Sprout Social or similar tools.
  • Experience creating, editing, and publishing content for social media platforms.
  • Experience supporting email marketing campaigns and digital communications.
  • Familiarity with Facebook page or Facebook group management.
  • Strong eye for design, visual storytelling, formatting, and brand consistency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to other offices, events, or project locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting employer branding, recruiting content, or company culture campaigns.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems and basic web updates.
  • Experience capturing or packaging content from events, jobsites, interviews, or field teams.
  • Basic understanding of analytics and reporting for social media and email performance.
  • Experience working in construction, professional services, corporate communications, or a multi-location business environment.
