Marketing and Communication Specialist (Remote)
The National Association of Long-Term Care Volunteers (NALTCV) seeks a Volunteer Marketing & Communications Specialist to help increase awareness of companion volunteering and inspire more people to improve the lives of older adults in long-term care communities.
About the role
NALTCV is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening volunteer engagement in long-term care communities through education, advocacy, research, and support for companion volunteers and volunteer managers. We work with individuals, long-term care communities, educators, and community partners to expand opportunities for meaningful volunteer engagement across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging content for our website, social media platforms, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Support volunteer recruitment and public awareness campaigns.
- Help strengthen NALTCV's brand and national visibility.
- Assist with email marketing and digital communications.
- Help promote webinars, training programs, podcasts, and special events.
- Analyze marketing performance and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with board members and volunteers on new outreach initiatives.
- Support fundraising and donor engagement campaigns through effective communications.
- Identify opportunities to expand NALTCV's visibility through media, partnerships, and community outreach.
Qualifications
- Experience or education in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Creative, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Interest in aging, volunteerism, healthcare, or nonprofit organizations is a plus.
Students, early-career professionals, experienced marketers, and retired marketing professionals are all encouraged to apply.

Time Commitment
