Marketing Analyst

About The Role

We’re looking for a Marketing Analyst to make sense of how HashWhales gets found and how that turns into leads — local SEO rankings, site analytics, content and outreach performance, and conversion rates on the audit, grader, and quote funnels.

Responsibilities

• Track local SEO performance (rankings, GBP insights, backlinks) across service and location pages.
• Monitor site analytics and conversion rates for the audit, grader, quote, and contact funnels.
• Analyze which blog/news content and outreach campaigns actually produce leads, and report what to double down on.
• Keep keyword targeting and page metadata current as services and positioning evolve.
• Build simple, readable reports for the founder and sales rep — no vanity metrics.
• Flag SEO or content inconsistencies (stale copy, broken claims, duplicate targeting) before they become a problem.

Requirements

• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and at least one rank-tracking tool.
• Comfortable reading and explaining data without a dedicated BI team — spreadsheets and dashboards, not just intuition.
• Understanding of local SEO fundamentals (NAP consistency, Google Business Profile, local landing pages).
• Clear written communication for reporting findings to non-marketing stakeholders.
• Comfortable working from a small company’s real numbers, not a big-brand marketing budget.

Nice to Have

• Experience marketing local/small-business services (IT, home services, professional services).
• Familiarity with HubSpot or a similar CRM for attribution tracking.
• Basic SQL or spreadsheet-formula fluency for pulling data directly.
