Market Property Manager I

A resident calls Friday afternoon, frustrated about a rent charge they don't recognize. Your maintenance supervisor is waiting on your sign-off for a vendor contract. And your leasing team just flagged an application that needs a second look before the weekend. That's a fairly normal hour as a Property Manager at Stone Run East.

About the role

John M. Corcoran and Company has been operating in New England since 1951, and Stone Run East in Weymouth is part of that portfolio. This is a full-cycle management role.

• Own rent collection and know when to escalate to corrective or legal action.
• Track the competitive market closely enough to bring real recommendations to the Senior Property Manager on rental rates, renewal rents, and marketing direction.
• Handle application approvals, annual property audits, internal and external reviews, and ongoing dialogue with ownership representatives on performance goals.
• Supervise a team that spans administrative, leasing, and maintenance functions, including hiring, training, and holding people accountable while maintaining morale.
• Monitor capital improvements and negotiate contracts; comfort with budgets and vendor relationships is essential.

Requirements

• At least five years of property management experience, with demonstrated supervisory responsibility.
• Proficiency in affordable housing compliance (a strict requirement).
• Working knowledge of Yardi and Microsoft Office.
• Comfort reading and managing to a budget, including capex tracking.
• A steady, strategic approach to both staff performance and property operations.

Pay

$63,345 to $92,082, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
