- Business Development:
- Builds and owns market strategy for McKinstry’s Technical Services Integrated Solutions focusing on higher education and healthcare.
- Manages larger contracts for complex customers with an emphasis on optimizing and maintaining facility assets.
- Conducts SWOT analysis and competitive analysis related to Technical Services Integrated Solutions strategies and market development.
- Motivates and inspires high-performing sales teams.
- Maintains sales forecast models and identifies potential business risk elements, participating in mitigation efforts.
- Creates and delivers processes, standards, and communication channels to increase efficiency.
- Client Relations:
- Builds and maintains relationships with industry leaders, associations, and organizations in regional or vertical markets.
- Guides clients through energy efficiency project financing and contracting processes using McKinstry’s tools and processes.
- Supports McKinstry’s customer relationship strategies.
About the Role
The Market Leader—Optimize Ed/Optimize Med plays a crucial role in McKinstry’s Energy team, contributing to the company’s mission of transforming the built environment for the betterment of clients and communities.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes market strategy for Technical Services Integrated Solutions in higher education and healthcare sectors.
- Manages large contracts for complex customers, focusing on asset optimization and maintenance.
- Conducts SWOT and competitive analyses to inform business development strategies.
- Motivates and leads high-performing sales teams.
- Maintains and updates sales forecast models and identifies potential risks.
- Creates and implements processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Builds and maintains relationships with industry leaders and organizations.
- Guides clients through energy efficiency project financing and contracting processes.
Requirements
- 10-15 years of Built Environment experience.
- Knowledge of building infrastructure systems, facility management, and critical facilities (Higher Education and/or Healthcare).
- Financial/performance contracting experience, including previous leadership, sales, and marketing roles with responsibilities for lead identification, closing sales, and overseeing project implementation teams.
- Demonstrated experience positioning solutions in the marketplace and building teams to execute strategies.
- Established relationships with industry leaders, associations, and organizations in regional or vertical markets that align with McKinstry’s business goals.
- Technical aptitude with delivery of programs and possesses a C-suite seller DNA.
- Has “owned” their business segment and exhibits an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent business experience required.
- Energy/ESCO experience a plus.
Qualifications
- Competitive pay range: $215,600 - $327,700 per year.
- Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package.
