Market Leader—Optimize Ed/Optimize Med

As a Market Leader—Optimize Ed/Optimize Med, you will combine people leadership, strategic planning, business development, technical services, and customer engagement. Your role involves defining the next steps for McKinstry’s energy services performance contracting business to build a thriving planet.

  • Business Development:
    • Buys and owns market strategy for McKinstry’s Technical Services Integrated Solutions focusing on higher education and healthcare.
    • Manages larger contracts for complex customers with an emphasis on optimizing and maintaining facility assets.
    • Conducts SWOT analysis and competitive analysis related to Technical Services Integrated Solutions strategies and market development.
    • Motivates and inspires high-performing sales teams.
    • Maintains sales forecast models.
    • Identifies potential business risk elements and participates in mitigation efforts.
    • Creates and delivers processes, standards, and communication channels to increase efficiency.
  • Client Relations:
    • Builds and maintains relationships with industry leaders, associations, and organizations in regional or vertical markets.
    • Guides clients through energy efficiency project financing and contracting processes.
    • Utilizes McKinstry’s tools and processes to support customer relationship strategies.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

About the Role

The role requires 10-15 years of Built Environment experience, including knowledge of building infrastructure systems, facility management, and critical facilities in higher education and healthcare. Financial/performance contracting experience, including leadership, sales, and marketing responsibilities, is also required. You should have demonstrated experience positioning solutions in the marketplace and building a team to execute strategy, along with established relationships with industry leaders, associations, and organizations that align with McKinstry business goals. Technical aptitude and a C-suite seller DNA are essential, as is a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent business experience. Energy/ESCO experience is a plus.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess current US Work Authorization and not require employer-sponsored VISA support to begin or remain in this role.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $215,600 - $327,700 per year. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
