About the role

The Market Host is responsible for ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all customers at the market. This includes greeting customers, answering questions, and providing information about products and vendors. The Market Host will also assist with vendor set-up and tear-down, as well as monitoring the market for safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide information about products and vendors
• Assist with vendor set-up and tear-down
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the market
• Handle cash transactions
• Manage vendor schedules
• Cook/coordinate special events

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in retail or hospitality preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
