About the role
The Market Coordinator for Pet Food plays a crucial role in supporting the pet food team. This position focuses on coordinating all account activities, ensuring smooth interactions between customers, production facilities, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate service of finished product, including inventory management, logistics, and scheduling to meet manufacturing site and customer needs.
- Develop and maintain proficiency in Oracle sales, procurement, and inventory management programs.
- Collaborate closely with Product Quality and Safety teams to ensure all products meet our rigorous quality standards.
- Serve as the primary communication link between sales managers, customers, manufacturing sites, and customer service teams.
- Complete forms, paperwork, etc., in connection with customer approvals, audits, regulatory requirements, pricing, and contract fulfillment.
- Oversight of administrative duties in regards to order entry, scheduling, and account receivables to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure all plant positions are completed as required by accounting and assist with financial closings.
- Cooky coordination of company participation in trade shows and conferences, including scheduling and meeting arrangements.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and strategic sales initiatives.
- Negotiate contracts and build lasting relationships with customers.
- Communicate with Darling Ingredients business lines to capitalize on synergies related to Pet Food activity.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1+ Years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or a related field; OR equivalent and comparable work experience in agriculture, ingredient sales, or a related industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in agricultural business or sales is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Oracle platforms for sales, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with a self-motivated approach.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
