Maritime Fleet Engineer

About the role

At G&H Towing, we provide harbor ship escorts, docking, and undocking services for tanker, bulk, and container customers in Galveston, Houston, Texas City, Corpus Christi, and Freeport, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Properly operate and maintain all mechanical equipment on the vessel.
• Safely operate and efficiently maintain vessel machinery.

Requirements

• A Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
• A Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with a medical certificate.

Qualifications

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Skills

Knowledge of marine engineering principles and practices, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in using relevant software tools.
