About the role
KLA’s Services organization partners with field teams and customers across all business sectors to maintain high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. The fleet engineer will measure fleet performance, identify opportunities for optimal availability and throughput, and recommend analytical features and data science models to address technology and process challenges at the local fab level.
Responsibilities
- Measure fleet performance and discover opportunities for optimal availability and throughput.
- Capture and document insights and analysis; recommend analytical features and craft data science models to tackle technology and process challenges at the local fab level.
- Ensure fleet and individual semiconductor equipment tools meet commitments for availability, throughput, and consistency.
- Maintain data pipelines between process control tools and the dedicated analytical platform.
- Conduct statistical analysis on tool data and component performance to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues impacting the tool fleet.
- Monitor tool behavior and data to identify excursions, anomalies, or deviations; collaborate on root cause analysis.
- Assess availability and performance of the tool fleet; measure throughput and identify optimization opportunities.
- Ensure consistency and alignment in tool performance and configurations across the fleet.
- Engage with internal and external partners to cultivate effective collaboration and build strong partnerships.
- Assess local teams’ and customers’ feedback; recommend features to improve analytical platform, tool performance, and user experience.
- Document actions, analysis, reasoning, and lessons learned.
- Stay updated with advancements in process control tools; analyze industry trends and propose innovative solutions to enhance tool performance, availability, and throughput.
- Use Linux and command line operations for tool configuration and data analysis tasks.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated ability working in the semiconductor industry, with focus on process control, lithography, or fab equipment management.
Skills
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex tool-related issues.
- Meticulous: Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate analysis and identification of excursions or outliers.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, statistical analysis techniques, data visualization tools, and semiconductor process control methodologies. Experience interpreting, developing, and modifying Shell and Python scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Analytical Tools: Experience with JMP, SQL, and other dedicated analytical tools used in the semiconductor industry for real-time data analysis and monitoring.
- Communication and Influence: Strong communication and influencing skills to collaborate with teams, present findings, propose solutions, and engage with local teams and customers.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
- Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, process control methodologies, and equipment technologies.
Pay
Base pay range: $78,200.00 – $132,900.00 annually.
