Marine Systems & Mechanical Technician

Description Portland Yacht Services is seeking a Marine Systems & Mechanical Technician to join our Systems Shop. Our Systems Shop handles the complex mechanical and onboard systems found aboard recreational and commercial vessels, including inboard engines, marine electrical systems, plumbing and waste systems, HVAC, and related onboard equipment. Responsibilities Diagnose, service, and repair inboard marine enginesPerform routine engine and mechanical maintenanceTroubleshoot engine-related components and equipmentDiagnose and repair marine electrical systemsWork with 12V and 24V DC electrical systemsDiagnose and service AC shore-power and onboard electrical systemsInstall and service batteries, charging systems, inverters, and related equipmentDiagnose, repair, and install freshwater and plumbing systemsService marine sanitation and waste systemsDiagnose, repair, and install marine HVAC systemsService pumps, hoses, valves, and related onboard equipmentInstall new marine equipment and systemsTroubleshoot complex onboard system problemsPerform seasonal commissioning and decommissioningRead wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals, and technical documentationAccurately document work performed, parts used, and recommended repairs Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and certificationsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for training and professional developmentWork in a dynamic and growing outdoor recreation industry If you're an experienced marine technician or have technical trade skills that translate to marine systems, we encourage you to apply.
