Responsibilities

• Perform investigations, surveys, and design of waterfront structures
• Prepare specifications, conduct waterfront investigations, and prepare reports
• Work collaboratively with internal and external partners on multidisciplinary design/engineering projects
• Coordinate the work of engineers and others assisting on specific assignments
• Review input from Project or Technical Managers and make necessary adjustments and corrections
• Complete work in a timely and effective manner within assigned schedules and budgets
• Perform structural design and development of construction drawings for concrete, wood, and steel structures
• Provide construction administration and bid phase services (preferred)
• Conduct field investigations and collaborate with clients, contractors, and other disciplines (preferred)

Qualifications

Required

• 0–2 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• General knowledge of design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Good communication and technical writing skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification within one year

Preferred

• Previous internships or work experience in the engineering field
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
