Marine Operative

About the role

This role is Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. You will be required to participate in 1 in 3 weekend rota for overtime rates as detailed below.

Responsibilities

• Work as directed by the Marine Site Manager in the day-to-day operation of the marine sites
• Ensure compliance with the highest standards of husbandry, fish health and welfare, quality standards and health and safety

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology, Fisheries Management, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of salmon farming practices and industry standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Passport required for working away from home
• First aid certification preferred

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment
• Knowledge of fish health and welfare
