Operations Specialist

What You Will Be Doing

• Pull, cut, stripe/dye or twist material
• Follow standard operating procedures
• Scrap material
• Breakdown unusable reels
• Complete rundowns after orders
• Complete proper documentation as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse
• Maintain a culture of Zero Harm
• Effectively communicate with internal and external entities
• Work diligently to resolve issues
• Promote company culture through behavior based on DWC’s mission, vision, purpose and values
• Operate with a high level of urgency, maximum productivity and profitability
• Operate all warehouse machinery and tools including but not limited to forklift, re-spooler, dye and stripe machine, pallet jacks, cutters, power tools
• Absorb where and when needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in order fulfillment, machine operation or related experience preferred
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively
• Strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment
• Exhibit urgency with a commitment to superior service levels
• Demonstrate ability to be detail-oriented
• Takes initiative
• Read and understand documentation, wire descriptions and numbers
• Add and subtract numbers in the thousands
• Ability to lift, carry, pull and maneuver heavy material or equipment up to 100 lbs regularly
• Work in a position that requires prolonged standing and frequent bending, squatting, twisting and reaching
• Perform repetitive step up and down throughout shift from MHE (material handling equipment)
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Comfortable operating relatively large machines and power tools
