About the role
This is a Standing Register [Open Continuous] Job Announcement using a Direct Hire Authority 5 U.S.C. 9905, dated 12/22/2023 that is expected to be used to fill full time positions when requested. The initial cut-off for referral consideration is 10/30/2025; applications received by this date will have the first opportunity for review. Applications received after this date will be considered as additional vacancies become available. Referrals will be pulled as needed by management.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain marine equipment in accordance with safety protocols and operational standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine vessels and related equipment.
- Assist in the planning and execution of vessel movements and operations.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders regarding vessel status and operational needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least 2 years of experience operating and maintaining marine equipment.
- Knowledge of marine safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with basic navigation systems and software.
- First aid certification preferred.
