Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair, test, and commission electrical and electronic equipment and systems on marine vessels.
- Read electrical and mechanical diagrams to determine job requirements and specifications.
- Install electrical circuits as directed by supervisors and project specifications.
- Conduct thorough tests to identify and repair electrical malfunctions.
- Install AC/DC low voltage systems and assemble electrical components.
- Build wireways and foundations with minimal supervision, including basic welding tasks.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace in compliance with all necessary standards (USCG, ABYC).
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Marine Electrician or in a related role.
- Strong electrical skills and proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical diagrams.
- Ability to independently install electrical circuits according to project specifications.
- Experience testing and repairing electrical malfunctions.
- Experience installing AC/DC low voltage systems and electronic control systems.
- Fabrication skills, including building wireways and foundations with minimal supervision.
- Basic welding techniques and familiarity with electrical standards (USCG, ABYC).
