About the role
The Claims Advocacy Professional will 'own' the claims process and be responsible for the progress of the claim. Assist with resolution of coverage and legal issues and work closely with a Claims Advocate. Collect and analyze claims processing information to verify a variety of metrics.
Responsibilities
- Provides coverage and claims strategy advice to clients on claims with highly complex coverage issues that require full range of expertise to solve in order to assist with claims preparation
- Identifies appropriate policies and/or coverage’s on highly complex coverage issues and analyzes notification against the same in order to provide solutions to clients against future risks
- Ledds highly complex claims process for clients, leads detailed client claim review meetings and participates in claims strategy discussions in order to ensure progress from notification through to closure
- Liaises with insurers and their advisors on highly complex queries and policy coverage discussions in order to support smooth review of claims for clients
- Develops thought leadership materials and drafts communication documents for clients, such as correspondence letters, claims calculations and reviews documents prepared by the clients in order to support highly complex claims process for clients
- Assesses application of data, such as loss statistics, key trends, cost reduction opportunities and other data in order to support sound and defensible recommendations for action plans to manage client's total cost of risk
Requirements
- 8+ years of claims experience; 3+ Marine claims experience a must
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- P&C license mandatory, or ability to obtain

Pay
- Base salary range: $100,400 to $213,800
Schedule
- Hybrid role, need to be in the office 3x per week
