Marination Technician

About the role

This position is responsible for monitoring the Marination operation; to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process, insuring proper raw materials are being used on the line, and remain in spec while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to MF Policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Marination process flow, including understanding all parts of the production schedule and WIP reports
• Ensure all products are produced unless instructed otherwise by direct supervision
• Complete all necessary log forms, including but not limited to: Downtime Log, Pallet Jack Inspection, Cardboard Sheet, Marination Formula Sheets with Lots
• Ensure products are properly weighed and labeled
• Understand material specs and ensure products coming off the line are in proper spec
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Maintain pathways clear of obstructions to and from cooler or other areas surrounding the Marination area
• Prepare ingredients to be added to the tumblers to recipe specifications, following recipes as specified by MF Specs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Natural dexterity with hands
• Ability to read ingredient labels
• Ability to follow directions
• Required to be certified to operate heavy equipment (Walking Jack)

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required. May require occasional assisted lifting of up to 70 lbs. and push or pull up to 1000 lbs using a pallet jack. These positions work in a cold, damp to hot and humid environment with slippery surfaces.

Working Conditions

Monday through Friday from 6:30am until 6:00pm. (Start time and finish time may change based on production schedules and needs) Saturdays will be based on production needs. Temperatures in the mid 30-degree F. to mid-40-degree F. range. Damp wet floors and air flow from refrigeration units. Noise level is high.
