About the role

The Boat House of Door County is searching for a passionate and energetic Marine Sales & Brokerage Specialist to join our dynamic team of customer-focused professionals. Located in beautiful Door County, Wisconsin, The Boat House offers the opportunity to work in one of the Midwest's premier boating destinations with an established customer base, strong seasonal traffic, and a passionate boating community.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers and guide them through sales and ownership experience.
  • Respond professionally to showroom, phone, internet, and referral inquiries.
  • MATCH customers with the proper products for their needs while identifying opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and company profitability.
  • Follow up consistently throughout the sales process and after delivery to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Independently prospect, network, and develop self-generated business opportunities.
  • Handle customers' concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately when necessary.
  • Complete all sales and brokerage paperwork accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Maintain accurate CRM/database records and customer follow-up activity.
  • Utilize CRM, dealership management software, and sales tools effectively to manage leads and customer follow-up.
  • Support dealership operations and maintain a professional showroom environment.
  • Participate in boat shows, customer events, training sessions, and dealership promotional activities.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to build long-term customer relationships and generate repeat and referral business.
  • Passion for boating and understanding of the boating lifestyle.

  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and timelines professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in marine, powersports, RV, automotive, luxury retail, or commissioned sales.
  • Boat brokerage or consignment sales experience preferred.
  • Understanding of used boat valuation, trade analysis, and market pricing.
  • Knowledge of financing, titling, documentation, and marine lending processes preferred.
  • Existing marine industry network and customer base is a plus.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work weekends.
