Responsibilities

• Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the School curriculum.
• Provides input for curriculum changes based on data collected from various sources.
• Participates in course team meetings for continuous quality improvement.
• Implements identified curriculum changes.
• Plans and prepares nursing theory content that aligns with course objectives.
• Previews and incorporates various teaching strategies into theory content.
• Presents theory content in a professional manner, using a variety of teaching methods.
• Evaluates theory content and prepares course-specific assignments.
• Evaluates students' clinical performance based on written criteria.
• Attends and participates in School of Nursing and Beebe Healthcare committees/programs.
• Serves on Faculty Organization and Beebe Healthcare committees as requested.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of acute care nursing experience.
• Basic teaching skills/experience.
• Active participation on one or more School of Nursing Committees (Learning Resources, Admissions, Testing, Student Services, Program/Faculty Development).

Experience/Participation

• Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Delaware.
• Current BLS certification.
• BSN required with a plan for MSN completion within two years of appointment.
