Manuracturing Engineer

Education Requirements

• Minimum Degree: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with an embedded software focus.
• No 2-year degrees will be accepted.
• Master's degree is acceptable but must still have 5+ years of experience.
• Internships do not count as job experience.

Skill Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in C programming.
• Model-Based Development experience (Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow).
• Embedded control software development experience.
• Familiarity with debuggers and strong debugging/troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Desired Technical Skills: Communications software/protocols (CAN/SAE J1939, Ethernet). Embedded Operating System experience. Scripting languages (e.g., Python). Engine or Machine controls development experience. Experience troubleshooting electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software from requirements through production and commercial deployment.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions.
• Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
• Review project requests to estimate time and cost required for completion.
• Perform software requirements analysis.
• Develop embedded software library activities.
• Perform software configuration and building.
• Create, execute, and document test plans.
• Set up and configure test bench hardware and software.
• Complete mandatory and feature-specific testing using manual and automated methods.
• Provide customer support for system and software troubleshooting.
