About the role

Making lasting, impactful changes for our company and our customers is the goal of the Manufacturing Trainer role at Bright Machines. This role trains, certifies, and supports manufacturing associates, technicians, and leads in a high-tech production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training to manufacturing personnel on processes, equipment operation, quality standards, and safety protocols
  • Facilitate onboarding training for new hires, ensuring timely certification and readiness for production
  • Evaluate trainee performance through observation, assessments, and skills verification
  • Provide real-time coaching and reinforcement on the production floor
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and EHS requirements
  • Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation
  • Partner with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to identify skills gaps and support retraining efforts
  • Support cross-training initiatives to increase workforce flexibility
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or industrial environment
  • Previous experience delivering training or mentoring employees in a production setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety standards
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
  • Comfortable facilitating small group training sessions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and training documentation tools

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, business) or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or industrial environment

Skills

  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety standards
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to facilitate and coach in a production environment
  • Organizational and attention-to-detail skills
  • Basic proficiency with computer systems and training documentation tools
