Manufacturing Trainee (Machinist)
We are looking for career-oriented, hardworking, and dependable manufacturing professionals to join our production team in Sandston, VA. Propelis seeks individuals who can work independently, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and eventually cross-train in multiple positions. This is an entry-level role that requires no prior manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment, including lathes, to manufacture parts according to specifications.
- Safely load, unload, and handle heavy cylinders and materials, frequently lifting and moving items.
- Perform lathe setup, operation, and basic adjustments to ensure quality and production efficiency.
- Drain, strip, clean, and prepare tanks containing industrial chemical fluids.

- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs and/or occasionally move up to 70 lbs.
Pay
$21/hour plus $1/hour shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shift. The U.S. pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00 USD hourly, reflecting cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Pay will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
