Manufacturing Trainee (Machinist 1)

Location: Florence, KY

Schedule

5:00pm to 5:00am on a 2/2/3 rotation, providing a 3-day weekend every other week.

• Week 1: off Sunday, work Monday and Tuesday, off Wednesday and Thursday, work Friday and Saturday
• Week 2: work Sunday, off Monday and Tuesday, work Wednesday and Thursday, off Friday and Saturday

Pay

Starting pay is $21/hour plus a $1/hour shift differential. Employees are eligible for two 50-cent increases over the first year upon passing competency assessments.

About the Role

This is an entry-level role that requires no prior manufacturing experience. Propelis provides fully paid, on-the-job training in a team-oriented environment. You will work in a climate-controlled setting and learn multiple aspects of a unique manufacturing process. Two performance and wage reviews are offered within the first year, with growth and advancement opportunities based on individual performance.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform various tasks within the manufacturing process
• Inspect work with close attention to detail
• Lift up to 30 lbs
• Infrequently push/pull carts and position materials using carts and overhead cranes
• Stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Attention to detail
• Dependability and flexibility to work overtime
• Able to work a 2/2/3 12-hour shift schedule
• Meet physical requirements of the job, including close vision for inspection tasks
