Manufacturing Test Sustaining Engineer

Hexagon’s Autonomous Solutions Division is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to support and enhance innovative manufacturing processes and test solutions, ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to customers with industry-leading service levels. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge manufacturing systems and products.

This position is based in Tucson, Arizona, United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support to in-house production and supplier manufacturing sites by investigating and resolving manufacturing test issues while preventing reoccurrence.
• Deliver advanced product troubleshooting support to production as required.
• Enhance manufacturing test solutions, including hardware and software.
• Monitor test yields, investigate deviations, and take appropriate action to resolve, including making hardware or software improvements or proposing product/process changes.
• Analyze product updates and implement changes to manufacturing hardware or software.
• Define, perform, and optimize preventive maintenance of manufacturing hardware.
• Continuously improve the manufacturing support process by identifying and correcting recurring issues.
• Provide off-hours real-time support to remote contract manufacturing sites in various time zones.

Requirements

• Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechatronics.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience, including internships.
• C++ or C# software development experience.
• Python development experience.
• Ability to design, modify, and troubleshoot test hardware (electrical/mechanical).
• Valid passport and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
• Able to safely lift up to 15kg (33lb).

• Previous experience in a production support role or manufacturing environment.
