Supports ~15 manufacturing test stations across the production process. Collaborates closely with Electrical Engineering, Firmware, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and external partners. Works with external consultants and vendors to deploy test systems globally.
Mission / About the Role
Form Energy is seeking a hands-on FCT Test Development Engineer to develop, deploy, and support automated manufacturing test systems that validate electronic assemblies and system-level products. This role focuses on executing the Manufacturing Test Engineering team’s architecture by building Functional Circuit Test (FCT) and End-of-Line (EOL) solutions—ensuring product quality, reliability, and manufacturability during production scale-up. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-velocity, execution-oriented environment with deep expertise in LabVIEW, TestStand, embedded communication protocols, and production test automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Development: Create automated test applications (LabVIEW/TestStand), functional test sequences for PCBAs/systems, and integrate automated test fixtures & instrumentation.
- Architecture & Reviews: Review test specs and architecture docs; provide feedback to improve coverage, reliability, and robustness; collaborate on framework validation.
- Manufacturing Support: Support NPI builds, production ramp, troubleshooting, root cause analysis of failures, and optimization of test station uptime/diagnostics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Electrical, Firmware, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain; coordinate with vendors/CMs for global deployment; participate in FAT/SAT.
