Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Translate engineering and product test requirements into complete manufacturing test systems supporting battery cell, module, and pack production.
- Own manufacturing test system development from initial requirements gathering through architecture, implementation, deployment, verification, validation, and ongoing production support.
- Design and develop automated production test applications using LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
- Integrate instrumentation, DAQ hardware, fixtures, PLCs, and production equipment into robust automated manufacturing test stations.
- Design and maintain hardware, software, and data pipelines that enable reliable production testing and traceability.
- Validate that deployed manufacturing test systems accurately measure product performance and consistently meet production quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, instrumentation, and process issues during commissioning, production launches, and day-to-day manufacturing support.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, MES, and Operations to improve manufacturing test capabilities and support factory expansion.
- Develop technical documentation including test procedures, deployment packages, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and operator documentation.
Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline.
- 4+ years developing automated manufacturing test systems.
- Strong LabVIEW and NI TestStand experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of complete manufacturing test systems including: Requirements gathering, System requirements definition, Hardware architecture, Software development, Data architecture, Production deployment, Verification & Validation, Production support.
- Experience integrating instrumentation, DAQ hardware, and automated test equipment.
- Experience deploying manufacturing test systems into production environments.
- Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
