About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Test Engineer supports the development, deployment, and maintenance of production test systems in Operations. This role performs technical, multi-disciplined work to improve manufacturing quality, performance, and throughput, while acting as a critical liaison between Operations and R&D.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of production test systems
- Troubleshoot test stand issues and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Product Management, and cross-functional teams
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using VES Lean Manufacturing tools
- Support new product introduction and transfer from R&D to Operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 1–3 years of experience designing, deploying, or supporting production test systems in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, with the ability to read PCBA schematic diagrams to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and test-system issues
- Experience with automated testing and test equipment used in manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality and process control tools (e.g., pFMEA, Gauge R&R)
- Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications
- Familiarity with test software design
- Familiarity with PCBA design principles and design-for-test (DFT) concepts
- Experience using bench test equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, and source measurement units
- Experience with mechanical engineering tools, CAD, or related engineering software

Pay
The compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 USD per year.
