Manufacturing Technician Supervisor - DM5W (D shift)
About the role
Oversee the maintenance of production equipment and supervise equipment and/or process technicians.
Responsibilities
- Maintain production equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime.
- Oversee technicians that repair and maintain the production and test equipment.
- Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
- Manage training programs to ensure proper operation, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures.
- Maintain inventory and/or spare parts.
- Schedule manufacturing activities.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Supervise skilled non-exempt employees (e.g., Technicians) in the EPI and HWA area of DM5W (formerly DFAB) in South Building.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- One of the following: Associates degree in technical field, 2 years of experience working in Engineering, Technician or Maintenance Specialist capacity in fab environment
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Able to work 12 hour compressed work schedule
- Able to work night shift that will include one weekend shift and holidays
Qualifications
- Knowledge of manufacturing sciences, manufacturing process, and equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software tools
- Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, influence others within and across teams, and relate to individuals from various backgrounds, experiences, and skills
- Able to take the initiative, drive for results and seeks to proactively prevent counterproductive manufacturing events
- Demonstrate ability to identify and resolve manufacturing problems using a systematic approach
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) used in semiconductor manufacturing industry for product or tool control
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Experience in technical leadership or supervision
- Experience planning and executing maintenance activities
- Experience prioritizing self and others based on manufacturing needs
