Manufacturing Technician Rough Heat Treat D Shift Wed 12am-6am, Thu-Sat 6pm-6am(P)
About the role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Will be working with the operation and process of heat treat furnaces.
Operators verify components to be heat treated by work order and engineering notes to ensure furnace cycle times and profiles.
Operators also be documenting heat treatment to ensure part compliance in the Gibsonton Florida location.
Responsibilities
- Checking and reporting any Safety opportunities or near miss and ensuring all parts are properly rinsed / flushed after acid process.
- Examining finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications and quality.
- Performing basic or specifically defined maintenance operations; cooperating with maintenance technicians and/or external service providers in repair issues.
- Operating equipment and performing some manufacturing operations including but not limited to wax assembly, injection, sandblast, grinding, or knockout to determine the best process and to expedite engineering parts.
- Other duties may be assigned and cross-training as needed.
Requirements
Evidence of High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Able to work in a hot environment and stand for long periods of time.
Quality background is a plus.
Ability to read engineering instructions.
Qualifications
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Skills
The position requires an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position.
