Manufacturing Technician I
Job Summary
Responsible for accuracy, competency and efficiency when conducting tasks related to work area. Follow Work Instructions and processes to ensure assembled parts meet the company's FAA-approved Quality Management System. Required and accountable for performing quality checks, audits and inspections, and is for the quality of any finished product, subassembly and/or installed components. Document production operations in corresponding records and/or log sheets in accordance with work instructions. Regularly perform routine cleaning and maintenance procedures for equipment and the manufacturing area. Actively participate in the continuous improvement of plant operations by supporting LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to established workmanship standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, and ergonomics during performance of assigned duties. Assist with developing and implementing new production methods for continuous improvement. Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment throughout the facility. Follow corporate-mandated Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) protocols, and report all injuries and/or near misses to supervisor immediately.
Required and Qualifying Skills
- High attention to detail and experience with inventory management
- Accuracy in part selection
- Thin Sheet Metal working experience, such as Drilling, Riveting, Trimming/Cutting, Countersinking, Dimpling and Assembly
- Capable of standing for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift upwards of 50 lbs. consistently
- Experience working in a manufacturing type of environment
- Self-starter requiring limited supervision, and able to perform job assignments with a very high degree of accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A quality-focused approach to producing accurate work
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
Required Experience and Education
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of relevant production experience in aerospace structural assembly
Hours & Work Conditions
- 8 hour shifts
- Core hours: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm
- On-site warehouse/shop and office environment
- Standard lunch and break periods

Base Compensation
USD 22.33 - 26.79
