Manufacturing Technician D
About the role
RF Manufacturing Technician D is a full-time position at RF Manufacturing Solutions, a leader in providing tailored solutions for SIGINT and Electronic Warfare (EW) missions. The role involves performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including sub-assembly and product final assembly, calibration and test. The technician works closely with engineers to define test set-ups and calibration tasks, performs rework and quality testing, utilizes automated test programs to evaluate product performance, and disassembles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assembling and tuning RF or microwave components and prototype systems
- Using network analyzers, power meters, and signal generators to diagnose and fix circuit or component failures
- Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and schematics
- Dismantle, adjust, repairs, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
- Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components
- Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing or testing process
- Compiles and records test results
- Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process
- Utilizes automated test programs to evaluate product performance against specifications and to collect data demonstrating product performance
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years’ experience or trade school and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
- Solid understanding and working knowledge of RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, RF generators, digital oscilloscopes, frequency meters and Power meters
- Solid understanding of analog and digital troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematic diagrams and other engineering documentation required
- Good soldering techniques and able to do solder rework using a microscope
- IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications desired
- Previous experience with LabView and ability to write ATE programs to control Test equipment and receivers a huge plus
Qualifications
- Formal training or experience working with RF receivers in the military is preferred
- Computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with manufacturing organization for government contracts is highly preferred
- Familiarity with ISO requirements, OSHA and Safety procedures
- ERP experience
