Manufacturing Technician D
About the role
L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our Norfolk VA team. The manufacturing technician will repair and overhaul circuit breakers, sub-assemblies, and related electrical equipment and perform evaluations, maintenance, and repairs on circuit breakers to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Replace or repair faulty components, such as contacts, coils, and insulation.
- Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to identify issues with circuit breakers and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, and non-conformances.
- Perform current injection, insulation resistance testing, contact resistance testing, and other relevant tests to verify the integrity of circuit breakers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluation and repair activities, including test results and inspections.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and work instructions.
- Communicate with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
- Make recommendations for solutions.
Qualifications
Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Strong communication skills, both verbally and written. Able to use MS Office (Excel, Word, Etc.) Must have a positive attitude, self-motivated with the ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within defined time limitations. Work with other departments as needed in a professional manner.

Pay
The salary range for this role in Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $59,000-110,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
