About the role
L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician C for a 1st shift position in Redmond, Washington. The position involves mechanical assembly and test of engines or other components/products, handling precision clean parts in a laminar flow environment, and performing diversified, semi-repetitive operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly and test of engines or other components/products as assigned.
- Handle precision clean parts within a laminar flow environment.
- Coordinate with maintenance, supervision and/or engineers in the set-up and calibration of equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies, company manufactured tooling and pressure testing.
- Use and operate various computer systems and applicable software (such as retrieving work instructions or manufacturing module in ERP system).
- Read and interpret product drawings, process specifications, and department procedures.
- Provide assistance in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process, collect data, or assist in research work.
- Repair or make recommendations to solve equipment issues.
- Apply general rules to specific problems to come up with logical answers.
- Perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and those contacted in the course of work.
- Effectively communicate to supervision/lead person, maintenance, engineering or other employees of the organization.
- Work with management, supervision or lead personnel to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.
- Provide rapid support while following proper housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned; additional duties could include production of parts, metal fabrication, etc.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Understanding of electrical test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, etc.).
- Knowledge of strippers, crimpers and installing solder splices.
- Certification to IPC 620 preferred.
- Familiarity with 5S and lean procedures.
- Ability and willingness to work other shifts and overtime as necessary.
- Oracle and Delmia experience.
- Knowledge of Laminar Flow environments and FOE/FOD controls a plus.
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly and test of electromechanical components.
Qualifications

Pay
The salary range for this role is $27.40/hr - $49.04/hr. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
Schedule
1st Shift 4/10: Employees work 10 hours per day, 4 days a week (Mon - Thu 5:30am - 4pm)
