Job Responsibilities
- Develop, create, and maintain routings for non-standard layouts and Engineering Work Orders (EWOs).
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Operations teams to resolve issues related to non-standard routings and ensure alignment with shop floor execution.
- Review and update routings as needed to reflect changes in manufacturing processes, materials, or product configurations.
- Evaluate routings to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or inaccuracies, ensuring processes remain relevant to current operational requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of routing creation processes, enhancing standardization, efficiency, and ease of use for non-standard products.
- Support pre-production and quotation activities by assessing manufacturability and providing input on process feasibility, cost, and lead time considerations.
- Establish and document standardized processes and procedures for non-standard routing creation and overall process flow.
- Participate in layout and process improvement initiatives to optimize production flow, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
- Support and implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives and ongoing efforts to improve processes.
- Document the processes used in building products.
- Recommend product improvement and maintain standard drawings/specs.
- Support daily production through solving, testing, and validation of product.
Requirements
- High School or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training).
- 2-years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to collaborate, and partner effectively with Design and Manufacturing teams to drive alignment and results.
- Proactive, self-directed individual who takes initiative and works effectively with minimal supervision; highly organized with strong prioritization skills.
- Ability to use computer programs including MS Office, MRP (JD Edwards preferred), Enovia, SolidWorks, etc. – intermediate level.
- Ability to process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as they relate to bills of material and product routings.
- Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) to provide recommendations for new and existing products.

Pay
Pay Transparency: nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range $20.40 - $37.80 Per Hour Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
