About the role
L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician B to join our team at our Redmond, WA facility. This position is part of our 2nd Shift team, which operates from 3:30 PM to 2 AM Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly and test of engines or other components/products as assigned.
- Handle precision clean parts within a laminar flow environment.
- Perform diversified, but semi-repetitive operations following standardized methods and procedures under changing conditions.
- Cook with maintenance, supervision and/or engineers in the set-up and calibration of equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies, company manufactured tooling and pressure testing.
- Use and operate various computer systems and applicable software (such as retrieving work instructions or manufacturing module in ERP system).
- Read and interpret product drawings, process specifications, and department procedures.
- Provide assistance in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process, collect data, or assist in research work.
- Repair or make recommendations to solve equipment issues.
- Apply general rules to specific problems to come up with logical answers.
- Perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and those contacted in the course of work.
- Effectively communicate to supervision/lead person, maintenance, engineering or other employees of the organization.
- Work with management, supervision or lead personnel to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.
- Provide rapid support while following proper housekeeping and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience.
- Understanding of electrical test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, etc.).
- Knowledge of strippers, crimpers and installing solder splices.
- Certification to IPC 620 preferred.
- Familiarity with 5S and lean procedures.
- Ability and willingness to work other shifts and overtime as necessary.
- Oracle and Delmia experience.
- Knowledge of Laminar Flow environments and FOE/FOD controls a plus.
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly and test of electromechanical components.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience with a degree.
- Experience with mechanical precision assembly.
- Experience in a clean room environment.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Basic knowledge of electrical test equipment.
- Experience with IPC 620.
- Experience with 5S and lean procedures.
- Experience with Oracle and Delmia.
- Experience with Laminar Flow environments and FOE/FOD controls.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and test of electromechanical components.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $22.83/hr - $42.54/hr. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
Schedule
This position is on a 2nd Shift schedule, working 10 hours per day, 4 days a week (Mon - Thu 3:30pm - 2am).
