Manufacturing Technician B - 1st Shift
About the role
L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician B to join our team in Redmond, WA. The position is part of the 1st shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly and test of engines or other components/products as assigned.
- Handle precision clean parts within a laminar flow environment.
- Follow standardized methods and procedures under changing conditions.
- Coordinate with maintenance, supervision, and/or engineers in setting up and calibrating equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies, company manufactured tooling, and pressure testing.
- Use and operate various computer systems and applicable software (such as retrieving work instructions or manufacturing module in ERP system).
- Read and interpret product drawings, process specifications, and department procedures.
- Develop methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process, collect data, or assist in research work.
- Repair or make recommendations to solve equipment issues.
- Apply general rules to specific problems to come up with logical answers.
- Perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and those contacted in the course of work.
- Communicate effectively with supervision/lead person, maintenance, engineering, or other employees of the organization.
- Prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.
- Provide rapid support while following proper housekeeping and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/associates degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience.
- Understanding of electrical test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, etc.) is preferred.
- Knowledge of strippers, crimpers, and installing solder splices is preferred.
- Certification to IPC 620 is preferred.
- Familiarity with 5S and lean procedures is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work other shifts and overtime as necessary.
- Oracle and Delmia experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Laminar Flow environments and FOE/FOD controls is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly and test of electromechanical components is preferred.
Qualifications

Pay
The salary range for this role is $22.83/hr - $42.54/hr. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
Schedule
1st Shift 4/10: Employees work 10 hours per day, 4 days a week (Mon - Thu 5:30am - 4pm)
Additional Information
L3Harris announced on January 5th, that AE Industrial Partners (“AE Industrial”) has agreed to acquire a controlling interest in L3Harris’ Space Propulsion and Power Systems business. This position has been identified as one that will transition to the new standalone company upon closing of the transaction. Until that time, L3Harris will continue its hiring activity within this business.
