Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform time studies and line balancing on assembly lines.
  • Support facility layout and improvement projects.
  • Train operators on assembly processes.
  • Propose and implement improvements to existing products, processes, and procedures.
  • Design and implement new tools to help improve quality and productivity.
  • Work with Test and Quality Engineers to reduce cycle-time and resolve manufacturing issues on a timely basis.
  • Assist Process Engineer in NPI (New Product Introduction) and process improvement.
  • Provide production floor support as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge of Tact Time Analysis, Lean production methods, KanBan, and lean manufacturing.
  • Understanding of quality systems such as Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing BOM (bill of material) structure.
  • AutoCAD, Visio, and SAP knowledge.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to function independently and multi-task.
  • Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment.

Education And Experience

  • Minimum Associate’s degree with 2 years of process, industrial, or manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Contract manufacturing experience is a plus.
