Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Manufacturing Technician – Level 2 to join our team in Promontory, UT. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on activities/tasks associated with manufacturing rocket motor components
• Conduct tooling assembly and disassembly
• Operate equipment and perform component surface preparation, including anodizing, contamination removal, and deburring
• Perform drilling and assembly tasks
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and facilities
• Participate as a team member to positively influence and enhance safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance
• Perform shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required

Requirements

• Must possess a valid state driver’s license
• Detail-oriented and meticulous
• Able to pass a respirator fit test
• Able to work a physically demanding day while wearing protective equipment (respirator, coveralls, gloves, eye and ear protection, etc.)
• Able to stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift, bend, twist, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Able to read, comprehend, and follow established written instructions without deviation
• Perform basic math and measurement functions
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Willing to perform work on weekends and holidays as required
• Willing to work overtime as required

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Metal surface finishing hands-on experience
• Knowledge in Anodize/Alodine Processing
• Safe handling of hazardous materials
• Operation of industrial equipment such as cranes, forklifts, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Travel

Yes, 10% of the time.

Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $44,400.00 – $74,000.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
