About the role

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment and activities to ensure production meets all area requirements. Work with engineers on setup and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Follow all operating procedures to the highest standard and collaborate with manufacturing associates, engineering, quality, and leadership to execute production requirements. Support engineering experimentation and operational improvement initiatives as requested. Participate on teams to identify opportunities for improvements within the production area and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote a safe work environment at all times; identify, address, and react to any unsafe or hazardous situations.
• Meet quality, efficiency, and safety requirements and standards.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment to ensure production meets area requirements.
• Consistently meet standard cycle time for production.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints required for proper equipment calibration.
• Apply working knowledge of test equipment independently within Operations.
• Report all non-conformances to Team Lead or Supervisor and complete NCEs as appropriate.
• Review non-conforming materials for accuracy.
• Ensure processes are developed and executed in alignment with Hologic Quality Standards.
• Perform root cause investigations with the Operations team using intermediate troubleshooting tools.
• Perform process validations as required and suggest process improvements to Team Lead or engineering team.
• Complete simple redlines to documentation in alignment with engineering direction.
• Actively participate in managed daily improvement (MDI) processes and contribute to discussions within areas of expertise.
• Maintain and execute 5S within work area.
• Complete all training requirements in a timely manner and maintain accurate training records.
• Conduct inventory transactions to maintain integrity of the inventory system.
• Process work order transactions in Oracle system accurately and timely.
• Use Oracle and Agile to retrieve necessary documentation and ensure accurate information.
• Maintain data entry tools and complete material orders independently.
• Adhere to standardized production schedule and work overtime to support production needs as necessary.

Requirements

• High School diploma (H.S./GED) or Associate Degree.
• 1-2 years of experience.
• Experience with Oracle ERP system or Agile Product Lifecycle Management system is beneficial.
• Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office platform (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Ability to read, understand, and follow all written procedures.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• High-level attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Trained to execute 3-4 roles within the Operations team.
• Certified as a Subject Matter Expert for 1+ roles within the Operations team.
• Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling best practices is beneficial.
• Regular and punctual attendance.

Pay

The annualized base salary range for this role is $46,400–$69,600 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will depend on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, location, education, business needs, and market demand.
