Manufacturing Technician - 1st Shift

Position Summary The Manufacturing Technician supports production operations by preparing, moving, loading, unloading, coating, and/or inspecting parts throughout the manufacturing process. This role contributes to the safe, efficient, and high-quality completion of customer orders while supporting production goals and continuous improvement initiatives. Team members may work in various areas of the facility, including part preparation, masking, blasting, loading/unloading, powder coating, painting, quality inspection, and material handling. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and required PPE guidelines. Support company 6S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare parts for processing through cleaning, masking, plugging, and staging activities. Load and unload parts, materials, and products onto racks, hooks, conveyors, carts, and other production equipment. Operate production equipment and tools as trained and assigned. Assist with blasting, painting, powder coating, curing, and finishing processes. Read and follow work orders, production schedules, process instructions, and quality requirements. Inspect products and components to ensure compliance with customer and quality standards. Accurately complete required production documentation and records. Identify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, safety hazards, or production delays. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work effectively with supervisors and teammates to meet production goals and delivery schedules. Participate in problem-solving activities and recommend process improvements. Cross-train and perform duties in multiple departments as business needs require. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, industrial, coating, painting, blasting, or material handling experience preferred. Forklift experience is a plus. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn new skills. Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment is a plus. Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, and lifting. Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Exposure to heat, noise, dust, chemicals, and industrial equipment. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, and protective clothing as required. Ability to safely operate around moving equipment, conveyors, racks, and material handling devices. Schedule Full-time position. 1st Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm Overtime and schedule adjustments may be required based on production demands.
