Manufacturing Technician 1

About the role

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 1 to work in a cleanroom environment supporting the manufacturing of viral vector products. The role involves adhering to cGMP batch records and SOPs, collaborating with GMP Manufacturing personnel, preparing suites for manufacturing, documenting deviations, and operating safely and compliantly. External applicants must be eligible to work in the US; this position does not offer sponsorship for work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cleanroom environment following cGMP batch records and SOPs.
• Support manufacturing projects alongside leads, supervisors, and managers.
• Prepare suites for manufacturing activities.
• Document deviations in accordance with compliance requirements.
• Operate equipment and perform tasks in a safe, compliant manner.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ months of cGMP or manufacturing work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months experience reading and understanding cGMP/GDP concepts and SOPs.
• 1+ years experience preparing production or clean rooms.
• 1+ years experience transporting buffers/media and materials throughout the cleanroom facility.
• 1+ years experience performing vial inspection of final product.
• 1+ years experience preparing tubing assemblies and using an autoclave.
• Working knowledge of desktop computers and technical equipment.
• Experience with support buffer formulation and fills.

Pay

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $21–$32 per hour. Actual compensation will consider location, experience, education, skills, and other job‑related factors. The position may also be eligible for sales or performance‑based bonuses.
