Responsibilities
Primary job function: responsible for assigned manufacturing tasks which includes using equipment or tools to weld and assemble parts according to customer specifications. Responsible for safety, quality of work, production, and material flow.
- Follow all standard work procedures
- Meet production requirements and complete all production sheets
- Stop, call, and wait for all abnormal conditions
- Follow all safety procedures and communicate issues with TL/GL
- Perform required quality checks
- Participate in a manufacturing system emphasizing teamwork, safety training, and discipline
- Utilize TPS techniques to standardize process/methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste, and standardize the new process/methods
- Maintain daily 5S in the work area and equipment
- Work well with other team members
- Understand and work by the TB Way philosophy
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years experience in manufacturing
- Good math and communication skills
- Experience in precision measuring equipment
- Must be able to work a fixed or rotating shift schedule, including daily or weekend overtime
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation
- Show and maintain professionalism
- Highly motivated, ambitious self-starter
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment
- Ability to work with multiple departments

Work Environment
Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply. Temperature-controlled environment.
- Team Members are exposed to sharp metal objects that are heated during the welding process. Required to wear heat-protective gloves and sleeves made from XKS nylon material, covering all of arms and hands. PPE can become hot during summer months.
Physical Demands
- Capable of standing 100% of the time
- Must be able to bend, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds
- Frequently required to grip tools and objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, feel, twist, walk, bend at the waist, do repetitive motions, talk, and hear
- Must occasionally kneel, work from heights, and crouch
- Must frequently lift and/or move five to fifteen pounds
- Must regularly lift twenty to thirty pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move over thirty pounds with the assistance of a mechanical device or another team member
- Required to talk, see, and hear
