Responsibilities

  • Design, development, and qualification of fixtures and gauges for turbine blades, vanes, and other components
  • Creation and maintenance of complex 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using NX
  • Create Manufacturing Quality Control Plans (MQCP), Product Process Qualification (PPQ) documents, Critical to Quality (CTQ) and machining setup drawings
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and production to ensure fixturing meets performance expectations
  • Lead fixture projects through all phases: conception, R&D, qualification, production implementation, and continued production support
  • Work with production personnel to implement, troubleshoot, and improve fixtures, gauges, and associated processes
  • Engage in fixture optimization projects to achieve cost savings

Requirements

  • 2–4 year degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, or 4+ years of relevant and proven manufacturing technician/engineering experience
  • Skilled in interpretation of product and manufacturing drawings and specifications
  • Expert knowledge in Siemens NX CAD/Drafting and product data management systems
  • Expert knowledge of GD&T
  • Expert knowledge in parametric model definition tools of NX and assembly modeling with inter-part linking
  • Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Work Requirements

This role is an on-site position located in Winston-Salem, NC. You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet required working hours. The environment includes a shop floor setting, which may involve extensive walking and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
