Manufacturing Team Lead Trainee (Nights-D Shift)

About the role

The Manufacturing Team Leader is responsible for leading daily activities of a manufacturing team consisting of production operators. They are also responsible for leading the production team’s daily start-up meeting, ergonomic work, and establishing job rotation. They guide the team in the development and use of standard work instructions. They perform first response troubleshooting and minor first line maintenance activities during production line down. They make recommendations for individual recognition for goal achievement and contributions. They employ various problem-solving techniques (5 Why, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action. They drive Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement within the work cells. They ensure individual and team compliance to established policies and procedures. They lead the team in completion of required preventative maintenance activities. They perform cell audits and inspections and follow-up on abnormalities; chart/track team progress.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of employment in a production environment.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Adheres to quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effectively communicates with team members & leadership.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience utilizing continuous improvement measures.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Pay

• $2.00 Night Shift Differential.
• 6% 401k Match (100% Vested Day 1).

Schedule

• Full-Time (4 days working, 4 days off).
• Night shift: 9:30pm-8:00am.
