About the role

This supervisory position oversees cable operations and/or warehouse operations, including 30-60 hourly associates and 1-3 operations coordinators. The role functions in either Ribbon Production or Cable Production based on business needs and is part of the NCP Leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure personal and team safety by adhering to safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Oversee production and/or warehouse activities to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Prioritize production schedules based on product induction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Adjust staffing and machine assignments to optimize flow and efficiency.
  • Develop and manage training plans for operators and support staff, including ongoing education and performance recognition.
  • Maintain world-class housekeeping and product flow standards.
  • Manage employee time and attendance for accurate payroll processing.
  • Lead teams to achieve objectives such as quality improvements, operating expenses, inventory targets, production goals, equipment run time, and on-time shipment.
  • Understand cost drivers and make decisions to minimize costs while maximizing output.
  • Lead projects impacting hourly staffing levels or improving process flow.
  • Support Lean project teams for new product or process introductions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams to enhance plant operations.
  • Develop and document procedure revisions for assigned areas.
  • Identify and improve inefficiencies.
  • Implement procedures to meet and maintain ISO standards.
  • Use capacity models to develop staffing and production plans.
  • Identify and manage production bottlenecks.
  • Investigate and implement assigned corrective actions.
  • Reduce process variation and improve production yield.
  • Schedule night shifts as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science with 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, or 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, provide direction, and drive successful outcomes in collaborative environments.
  • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel formulas and Word).

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Engineering or Technical degree.
  • 2-3 years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of a plant organization.
  • Lean and 5S experience (SMED and Kaizen Events).
  • Data analytics skills using Power BI/Excel to analyze production trends.

Pay

The range for this position is $88,942.00 - $122,295.00 for full-time status. Starting pay depends on geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
