Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly Process Support:
- Support sheet metal fabrication processes (punch, brake, weld) to improve dimensional control and reduce rework
- Assist in troubleshooting electro-mechanical assembly and test issues
- Develop and maintain clear, usable work instructions and process documentation
- Support fixture, tooling, and workflow improvements
- Participate in new product introductions and engineering changes
- Quality Systems & Non-Conforming Material:
- Lead root cause analysis for fabrication, assembly, and supplier quality issues
- Manage non-conforming material investigations and corrective actions
- Track and analyze scrap, rework, and defect trends
- Continuous Improvement & Lean Support:
- Participate in lean initiatives including 5S, standard work, visual management, and waste reduction
- Improve first pass yield in fabrication and assembly
- Auxiliary in implementing error-proofing solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or related field
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and electro-mechanical assembly processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
