Manufacturing & Supply Chain IT Specialist

About the role
We are seeking a Manufacturing & Supply Chain IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will serve as the key liaison between the IT department and the manufacturing and supply chain operations, ensuring that technology solutions effectively support production, logistics, and inventory management. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and deep understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT solutions that optimize manufacturing, production, and supply chain operations
- Support and administer ERP, MES, WMS, and other operational software systems
- Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with IT or internal teams to resolve technical challenges
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across production and supply chain systems
- Assist in automation projects, system upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Generate reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making in inventory, logistics, and production planning
- Train and support end-users on software tools and IT processes related to manufacturing and supply chain operations
- Manage, correct, and enhance operational understanding and utilization of the ERP system
- Guide the development and improvement of operational business intelligence (BI)
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT support for manufacturing or supply chain environments
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Infor XA, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and manufacturing technologies (MES, WMS)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, logistics, and supply chain workflows
- Experience with SQL, data analysis, process automation, and reporting tools
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Detail oriented, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where a premium is placed on speed and accuracy
- Ability to work independent of supervision and quickly adapt to changing priorities
- Strong oral & written communication skills
- Competent with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
- Fluency in the English language
- Must be able to obtain in minimal time the necessary credentials to comply with all federal export control requirements (US citizen or a US permanent resident)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Aerospace business requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years’ experience with XA MAPICS ERP system, preferably end to end
- 5+ years’ experience with Data models and Query work (SQL, Cognos, Access, Qlikview…) and associated Data extraction techniques (ODBC, etc)
- 2+ years’ experience in an analytical role
- Certifications such as APICS CPIM, or Six Sigma
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and Industry 4.0 technologies
- Experience with project management in manufacturing IT implementations

Pay
Salary Range: $111,000.00 to $125,000.00
